| ABSTRACT:
Diplopia is a distressing symptom that can greatly compromise a patient’s quality of life. It also provides the clinician with unique challenges because a sudden onset of diplopia may be the harbinger of significant medical problems. Diplopia can be idiopathic, due to neural dysfunction, or it can result from mechanical eye movement restrictions. Following any required medical treatment, efficient prescription of prisms, lenses, and/or vision therapy for the management of diplopia can greatly improve patient comfort and visual function. |
