| ABSTRACT:
Surgeons in the United States have performed a total of 8.1 million procedures on 4.5 million people as of June 30, 2004, and this year alone, U.S. surgeons will perform an estimated 1.35 million laser refractive procedures. We need to ask about possible clinical implications of widespread LASIK, such as availability of donor tissue, glaucoma diagnosis and IOL calculation. |
