| ABSTRACT:
Peripheral arterial vascular disease indicates a poor overall general health of the blood vasculature, and potentiates ischemic ocular events such as retinal artery occlusions, retinal venous occlusions, neovascularization and diabetic retinopathy. By understanding the latest research into the diagnosis and treatment of PAVD, O.D.s can better educate patients, monitor and treat the ocular sequelae, and appropriately refer them for additional care. |
