| ABSTRACT:
Progressive addition lenses (PALs) represent state-of-the-art technology in the spectacle correction of presbyopia. In most optometric practices, PALs are dispensed more frequently than bifocals and trifocals combined. It is imperative, therefore, for optical professionals to understand how PALs work, and to develop the skills needed to fit and dispense these lenses successfully. This course will provide an overview of the basic optical principles, dispensing techniques, and problem-solving strategies needed to ensure successful patient adaptation. |
