| ABSTRACT:
This is a case of a patient who presents with swollen eyelids. The differential diagnosis of swollen lids will be covered in addition to the evidence-based management of orbital cellulitis. This case also contains the "statistical pearl" of how to interpret the "p-value." A 12-year-old boy presents with a 3-day history of increasing redness, swelling, and pain around his right eye. His visual acuity was 20/25 and 20/20 from the right and left eyes, respectively. His pupils and fundi were normal in both eyes. He had limited extraocular motility in his right eye secondary to pain. He was also noted to have mild globe proptosis. |
