TITLE:  The Game Plan for Contact Lens Wear in Sports

ABSTRACT: If you hope to perform well, it helps to see well. The decision to prescribe contact lenses to atheletes, from professionals to weekend warriors, can involve issues not ordinarily considered for the "average" patient. When venturing into the realm of athletics it is critical to take each case independently, considering the tasks and demands the patient must face. Is 20/20 enough? This module will outline the unique considerations facing the contact lens clinician. In addition, a detailed review of lens selection, skills testing, protection and the sports medicine team are presented.
