| ABSTRACT:
This is a two hour on-line course reviewing the modern aspects of Genomics, old term genetics, and the application of this information to the future optometric practice. A review of the basic science aspects of the human genome is covered along with how the use of genomic information will be useful in clinical practice. Genetic predisposition to ocular diseases together with environmental influences will be presented. In addition the use of modern testing for related defects on the human genome is discussed in detail. |
