| ABSTRACT:
This course discusses the importance of correcting astigmatism in presbyopic patients, even when the correction is seemingly mild. It addresses the primary reasons why practitioners might not consider this correction essential and, in contrast, the benefits of this correction to the patient. The Case Report of a middle-aged female patient is discussed, including the tremendous positive impact of correcting her small astigmatism. Various ocular health issues are reviewed, with corollary solutions. Finally, the course discusses the importance of adopting a comprehensive approach to ocular health, rather than too narrow a focus on any one element. |
