| ABSTRACT:
This course discusses the case of a mature woman wearing contact lenses for extended hours, whose main complaint is loss of visual acuity at night. It explains the importance of the fact that first-impression diagnosis should be revisited as the case evolves and more facts come to light. It also highlights the fact that frustre keratoconus can be fitted with soft contact lenses. The course explains the various examinations necessary in frustre keratoconus – in particular, topographic maps – in addition to the differences between dominant eye and non-dominant eye lenses. In addition, it examines the characteristics and use of gas-permeable lenses, and explains their choice in this case. The patient’s treatment plan is presented. |
