| ABSTRACT:
This course covers selection and clinical uses of currently employed anti-infective agents appropriate for ophthalmic use. Practical applications of the penicillins, cephalosporins, macrolides, and tetracyclines are emphasized. Antiviral agents, including Valtrex and Famvir, are discussed for treatment of herpes simplex keratitis and ophthalmic zoster. In addition, this course covers clinically useful opioids and their substitutes, as well as emphasizing practical prescribing habits. |
