This course discusses occlusion therapy for amblyopia, primarily in children. The course provides in-depth information regarding the development of vision and visual pathways; psychosocial aspects of occlusion; scheduling issues and their effect on patient compliance; various types of amblyopia and their relating scheduling differences; and the importance of a specific way of communicating with children undergoing occlusion, in order to maximize compliance and an emotionally healthy experience for both caregiver and patient. |
