Contrast Sensitivity, Glare, and Quality of Vision
This course outlines what constitutes good or normal vision, comprising a discussion of methods to assess visual function beyond the standard Snellen acuity measurement. Non-traditional, non-Snellen modalities such as contrast sensitivity and glare testing in assessing visual function in anterior segment diseases such as cataracts are reviewed, including detailed material on contrast sensitivity and ocular disease; and the difference between contrast sensitivity and glare.
