TITLE:  Examination of Retinal Lesions Using Binocular Indirect Ophthalmoscopy and Non-Contact Lens Biomicroscopy
ABSTRACT: This course discusses the benefits of peripheral fundus examination using binocular indirect ophthalmoscopy and complementary alternate assessment with non-contact lens biomicroscopy. The role of non-contact lens biomicroscopy in diagnosis is reviewed. Five types of peripheral retinal lesions that may predispose patients to rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (RRD) are discussed in detail.
