ABSTRACT: This course presents an in-depth discussion of immunohistochemical and electron microscopic studies of Langerhans’ cell histiocytosis (eisinophilic granuloma) of the orbit, including a comprehensive review of the disease’s incidence and prevalence; signs and symptoms; identifying characteristics; pathology; histopathology; the role of electron microscopic studies; incisional biopsy; and differential diagnosis. Two Case Reports are presented.
