| ABSTRACT:
A 46-year-old Afro-American female is referred by her family physician because of a sudden loss of vision in her left eye over the last 24 hours. She has noticed some redness in her left eye with increased sensitivity to light; the eye is moderately painful with some tearing. She has a history of wearing hard or gas-permeable lenses for 25 years for keratoconus. She is now unable to wear the gas-permeable lens in her left eye. She takes Lopressor for hypertension and is allergic to sulfa drugs. |
