TITLE:  Diagnosis and Management of Corneal Disorders: A Practical Guide

ABSTRACT: Athorough discussion of the cornea can include a gamut of disorders, etiologies and presentations. Acomprehensive discussion is beyond the scope of any single review. However, in this article, we will present a methodological approach for a clinician to undertake when he/she encounters corneal dysfunction. Our goal is to assist the clinician in determining the type of corneal disorder present, if it is in need of immediate attention, and if so, an appropriate management approach. We advise the use of the mnemonic "Blind Date", to assist first in the diagnosis and classification (BLIND) and then the appropriate management (DATE) of corneal disorders.
