TITLE Biomedical Ethics for Optometrists
ABSTRACT: Optometrists, like other health professionals, are entrusted with a great deal of responsibility for the health and well-being of their patients. Optometrists are primary care-givers, and, as such, have much broader and deeper roles in their patient's lives than simply taking care of refractive needs. Along with the recent expansion of optometric scope, this has led a number of states to mandate courses in ethics as part of their continuing education requirements.  Author(s): Marc Marenco, D.Phil
