TITLE:  Ethical Considerations for Health Care Providers

ABSTRACT: According to the dictionary, ethics is defined as, "The study and philosophy of human conduct, with emphasis on the determination of right and wrong." This is not an especially helpful definition because it begs the question of what is right and what is wrong. Right and wrong can be very easy or very difficult to determine depending on the individual making the determination and the circumstances. Some people follow absolute ethical codes and their behavior is precisely regulated by these codes, others utilize more flexible ethical codes and adjust their definitions of what is right and wrong depending on the situation.
